We dig into Catholic catechesis, sacramental preparation, and the uncomfortable truth that a one hour CCD class can’t replace daily formation. We kick around a bold proposal: what if readiness for First Communion, Reconciliation, and Confirmation was tested through a simple pass-fail interview, and the real burden of formation moved back to the domestic church? That opens up the hard questions about priorities, overscheduling, and whether the faith is lived at home or treated like a milestone party.

From there we talk parish life and relationship: why community can’t be built by the same small group doing everything, and how treating the sacraments like a “product” leads to shortcuts like drive-by bulletin stamping. We zoom out to Church renewal, unity, and why both leadership and families have responsibilities. We also reflect on contemplative religious life, the “productive” mindset, the faithful remnant, and how apologetics can drift into pride if we forget we’re called to witness, not win.
