Today, we look back over Acts 7–16, seeing the mission of God on display on every page. God has sent His Son, who sends the Holy Spirit, who sends missionaries to the ends of the earth and "ordinary" believers into their communities to proclaim Christ, crucified and risen. Then we look ahead at Acts 17–26 and the Church of God continues to grow and expand as it lives out Christ's mission.

In today's episode, wrap up Luke's Gospel, seeing the mission of God reach its climax in Jesus' death and resurrection. From there, the mission spreads through the women at the tomb, the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus, and the birth of the Church in Acts 1–6. Glancing ahead at next week, the story of the Church continues with the Church scattered into Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

Join us as we read through the Gospel according to Luke this year!

In this episode, we look back over Luke 11–20 to see Jesus' mission in both bringing division and seeking and saving the lost. That all happened when Jesus is crucified so that we might be saved. We'll read about that next week as we finish Luke's Gospel and read the first six chapters of the book of Acts.
