Amanda talks about being a speed boat racer, what it takes, what it means and how you do it.
My favourite quote of the episode is "I was ready for the gold medal, the song, the National Anthem. And I was, as I said, second last. But I had worked really hard for that. I had worked, early mornings practising. Tim being a fantastic coach, telling me how to do this and that, and the other. Learning to read the waves and all of these things I had never done before all came together for me to pass one person. And then the next race, I passed two people and then the next event I won a race. Wow. You know, people always think of a goal. Yes, I'm gonna be the first at this, I'm gonna be the first at that. No, it's all the little steps to take to get there. Then that's what you need to do."
