• Have you Decided What your 2026 Summer Intention is?
    2026/06/16
In this episode in our series during the month of June, I thought it would be helpful to think about what your intention is for your Summer this year. Life can unfold in many different ways, especially when we are living by default! When life gets busy, as it often does as a parent, we can get caught up in a cycle of repetition and habits when we are overwhelmed by our responsibilities. Later, we can look back and wish that we had planned our seasons more so that we accomplish some of the special events or moments that can be important in our life for ourselves, with our children and as a family together. As Moms, we are the Health Managers of the home and are often seen as the nurturers and caretakers of our family; Dads are often the supporters and protectors of their family. In many families today, both are working fulltime and then come home to their most important, more than full time job. It can create situations in which we function on auto-pilot and then look back and wish we had done things a bit differently.

  • Feeling Exhausted as a parent with all the stress in the world?
    2026/03/17
Let’s focus on getting your energy back! In this episode in our series, during the month of March, I sense a level of stress that infiltrates every part of our society from family, career, financial stability, energy, climate change and even our government. It feels as though there is not a segment of our day that is not impacted. This leaves many parents feeling stressed and exhausted. This creates a lot of stress and exhaustion for our kids as well. Our role as parents is one of the most sacred ones we have in this lifetime. We do not have control over the events of our daily life or our world, but we do have control over our response.
What resources are available to us during this time to help us to stay grounded and at peace?
When life gets hard and events are creating a lot of chaos in our world and our everyday lives, it can feel hard to stay grounded and at peace, so we don’t get mired in exhaustion. There are resources and practices available to help keep us stable and secure and most importantly for our family life and our children. It often requires that we practice a certain mindset to prevent burnout.

In this episode in our series, during the month of February, I thought it would be helpful to take a pause as we move into the Fire Horse Energy. As parents, many of us feel stressed and yet our children are also impacted. How do we help them to navigate these unprecedented times and help them to feel safe, secure and loved? It is important to remember we may not have control over what is going on but, we do have control over our response. Our role as parents is one of the most sacred ones we have in this lifetime, and the next year is sure to test our resilience. As Moms, we are the Health Managers of the home and are often seen as the nurturers and caretakers of our family; Dads are often the supporters and protectors of their family.
