How do you keep going and stay mentally tough when life hands you challenges you never chose? If you’re still showing up but quietly searching for purpose, you’re in the right place. Personal growth isn’t about fixing yourself - it’s about learning how to carry what life hands you. And if life feels heavier than it used to, you’re not alone. Through powerful, inspirational stories, this podcast helps you on your personal growth journey to build mental toughness, find purpose in life, and ultimately grow through what you go through. Grit, Grace, & Inspiration is for the moments life doesn’t prepare you for. The seasons where you’re still showing up, still functioning, still doing what needs to be done… but something inside you feels tired, heavy, or quietly uncertain. If you’ve ever thought: “I may be strong, but I’m exhausted.” “I don’t need hype - I just need to know what to do next.” “I just want life to feel good again.” Then my friend, you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. I’m Kevin Lowe, and I know what it’s like when life changes without asking your permission. Over 20 years ago, at the age of 17, I unexpectedly became completely blind upon waking from a life-saving brain surgery. One moment I was a teenager with plans, momentum, and a future I could clearly see. The next, everything I thought I knew about my life, my identity, and my place in the world was gone. There was no roadmap for that kind of loss. No quick fix. No motivational quote that made it make sense. I had to learn how to live inside a life I didn’t choose — how to carry grief, fear, uncertainty, and still find meaning, faith, and forward motion. Not all at once. Not neatly. One honest step at a time. This podcast was born out of that lived reality - not as a performance, but as a conversation. One human to another. Here, we talk about real life. The grief no one sees. The setbacks you didn’t choose. The quiet courage it takes to keep going when nothing feels clear. You’ll hear deeply honest stories from people who’ve been tested — not polished success stories, but lived ones. You’ll hear reflections that don’t rush the pain, faith that isn’t forced, and hope that doesn’t insult your intelligence. Some episodes will feel like a hand on your shoulder. Others will feel like a mirror. All of them are meant to remind you that you are not broken for feeling the way you do. This is what makes this podcast different. We don’t chase motivation — we build meaning. We don’t glorify hustle — we honor endurance. We don’t deny pain — we make room for grace inside it. Every episode is designed to leave you steadier, not louder. More grounded, not pressured. Clearer about who you are, what you’re carrying, and how to take the next step — even if that step is small. So consider this your invitation. If you’re in a season of transition… If you’re learning how to carry what life handed you… If you refuse to give up on your life, even when it feels heavy… Welcome. This podcast is for you. And if there’s one thing you remember, let it be this: You are more amazing than you realize, more powerful than you believe, and more worthy than you’ve ever been told. Sometimes, you just need to know someone's cheering for you! You got this!© 2025 Grit, Grace, & Inspiration 個人的成功 心理学 心理学・心の健康 自己啓発 衛生・健康的な生活

  • #425: He Had the Dream Job, the Money, and the Life Everyone Wanted—So Why Did He Walk Away? #FanFav
    2025/12/23

What happens when the dream life you've spent decades building feels more like a nightmare you can't wake up from?

Today’s conversation is for the person who looks successful on the outside... but feels quietly disconnected on the inside. If you’ve ever wondered:

    • Why do I feel empty when everything looks “right”?
    • Why am I exhausted by a life I’m supposed to be proud of?
    • Why does walking away feel both terrifying and necessary?

This episode will hit close to home.

What This Episode Is Really About

In this deeply honest conversation, I sit down with Matthew Blades—a former nationally syndicated radio host who spent 28 years living the dream so many people chase.

    The career.

    The money.

    The recognition.

    The life everyone else wanted.

And yet… it nearly cost him everything.

This is the story of what happens when success stops being enough, when your body forces you to listen, and when the bravest move forward is the one that looks like quitting from the outside.

But make no mistake—this isn’t a story about giving up.

It’s a story about waking up.

    Inside This Conversation, We Explore:
    • What it feels like to succeed publicly while quietly falling apart
    • The moment your body starts screaming what your mind has been ignoring
    • Why panic attacks, burnout, and chronic stress are often messages—not malfunctions
    • The difference between building a life and living one
    • What it really means to “blow up what you built” without destroying yourself
    • How generational patterns, unhealed trauma, and outdated beliefs quietly shape our decisions
    • Why the hardest conversations are often the most freeing ones
    • How to walk away from an identity you’ve worn for decades—and rebuild from truth

    If You’re Listening Right Now…

This episode isn’t asking you to quit your job.

It’s asking you to listen to yourself.

To notice the quiet signals you’ve been explaining away.

To question whether the life you’re maintaining is still the life you want.

To consider that walking away doesn’t mean you failed—it may mean you finally chose yourself.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

You just need the courage to ask the right questions.

    One Final Thought

If this conversation stirred something in you... Don’t rush to quiet it. That discomfort might be clarity knocking. And sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is stop pretending everything is fine.
