Elden Ring released at the end of February and has become on of the biggest games in recent history. While the game is loved by many, others have been critical over the user interface, or rather the lack thereof. In this episode we discuss the minimal UI design of Elden Ring and how it might influence future games.

Last week Microsoft shocked the world with the purchase of Activision Blizzard. In this episode we talk about what we think this means for the gaming industry. We also talk about Sony and discuss what this could mean for them going forward.

There was a lot to like about The Game Awards and a lot to...not like. We discuss our thoughts on the results and continue our criticism of this unique awards show. The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack finally released, and with it a handful of games for the Nintendo 64. We have a lot to say about the state of these games, particularly how well The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart 64 plays. We also discuss the recently released Pikmin Bloom and ConcernedApe's new game: Haunted Chocolatier.

The Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct was full of some magnificent updates and the Happy Home Paradise DLC looks promising. However, this has been overshadowed by the shocking reveal of the pricing for the new Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. In this episode we dive into what we think Nintendo is doing and discuss these new Animal Crossing updates in a bit more detail. 

Nintendo surprised us with some huge announcements at the last Direct. News of the N64 and the Sega Genesis coming to the Switch has us excited! We talk about that and discuss the importance of the indie scene in the gaming world.
