This is essentially the central experiment of 'In a Violent Nature,' written and directed by Chris Nash. It's also how Nash pitched it to friend and collaborator on the film, Steven Kostanski. (Shout-out to Kostanski for their AMAZING physical FX.)
And it perfectly sums up the unique POV the audience is given as we're taken on a raucous ride with 'Johnny' as our new villain-protagonist on the forest block to follow.
Oh, we mean LITERALLY follow.
It's why it's known as the 'Ambient Slasher.'
Or, as we affectionately describe it as, "Trudge. K*ll. Trudge. K*ll. Trudge. K*ll!"
