  • Am I Ready for a FACELIFT?
    2026/10/14

Am I ready for a facelift? In this episode of In the BEST of HANDS: The Plastic Surgery Podcast, Dr. Jason Rosenberg and co-host Meredith Reis welcome board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Greg DeLange of The Estetica Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is Dr. Rosenberg’s longtime friend, and he once operated on Dr. Rosenberg himself.

With nearly 30 years of experience and thousands of facelifts behind him, Dr. DeLange explains what a facelift actually involves. He covers the deep plane SMAS (Superficial Musculoaponeurotic System) technique, fat grafting, CO2 laser resurfacing, and the local anesthesia facelift he pioneered. (Yes, you can be awake during your facelift!) The two surgeons also talk about how long results last, recovery, risks, and why more men are choosing facial rejuvenation.

  • Why I Had My Implants Taken Out
    2026/09/16

In this episode of In the BEST of HANDS: The Plastic Surgery Podcast, Board-Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Jason Rosenberg and co-host Meredith Reis sit down with a very special guest: Kelly, one of Dr. Rosenberg's own patients. A 62-year-old former fitness studio owner, Kelly shares her health journey: from a systemic lupus diagnosis that left her bedridden for two years to the eventual decision to have her 30-year-old breast implants removed in hopes of improving her health. After years of research and skepticism around Breast Implant Illness, she took the leap, and the results changed her life. This is Part 1 of a two-part conversation.

    In this episode, we'll cover:

    • Kelly's journey from thriving fitness professional to a lupus diagnosis that upended her life
    • Why she waited years, and stayed skeptical, before deciding to undergo an explant surgery based on what she’s learned about Breast Implant Illness
    • The outdated promise Kelly's original surgeon made: that once getting implants, "you’ll never have to do anything again”
    • How to tell if an implant has ruptured, and the difference between silicone and saline implant ruptures
    • Dr. Rosenberg's Breast Illness Scorecard, and how he tracks patient symptoms over time
    • Kelly's own healing journey and why best results were seen after months, not days
    • The different grades of breast sag, and what to expect after implant removal
    • How implant removal is often paired with a breast lift for the best shape
    • The unexpected side effects felt months after surgery, what it is and why it happens
    • What happens to implants after they're removed
    • The role of partners factor into the consultation process
    • How Dr. Rosenberg manages patients' desire for more than one procedures
    • Plus, Dr. Rosenberg shares what it’s like when friends ask for his opinion of their bodies, and how he approaches the awkward conversations that can come up when you date a plastic surgeon (and what he’s really looking for in a partner)
    • A teaser for Part 2: Kelly's body contouring surgery after major weight loss
