On this episode of the In & Out Talks Podcast, powered by Tier One Performance, we sit down with Ron Monroe, a Houston native and former Division I football player at Vanderbilt University.
Growing up in Houston, Ron was a multi-sport athlete before taking his talents to the college level. At Vanderbilt, he competed in the SEC as both a quarterback and wide receiver, experiencing firsthand the dedication, versatility, and discipline required to compete at one of the highest levels of college football.
In this episode, Ron takes us through his athletic journey—from playing multiple sports as a young athlete in Houston to making the transition into Division I football. He shares his experiences at Vanderbilt, the challenges that come with competing at the collegiate level, and some of the lessons sports taught him that have continued to influence his life and career.
Now back home in Houston, Ron has transitioned from athletics into a leadership role in sales, where many of the competitive habits and principles he developed through football continue to play a role in his professional success. Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
