It's almost hard to believe, but the #WWE (then WWF) almost went with older brother Bruce instead of Owen to do the jealous brother fued, but they didn't. But now Imagine It if they had? How would that have changed things for all these men, and for the company itself?

1984 was a huge year for #WWE, as Vince McMahon planned a national expansion for the then WWF that would change the #wrestling landscape forever, and the centerpiece of that push was Hulk Hogan.

Of course the aggressive business tactics of McMahon made him many enemies across the industry, including AWA owner Verne Gagne, who McMahon had lured Hogan away from with a promise of more fame and fortune.

So as the legend goes as told by The Iron Sheik, who had a strong relationship with Gagne after Gagne gave him his start in the business in 1972, was that he was offered 100k to shoot break Hulk Hogan's leg. Sheik turned down the offer, reportedly citing loyalty to the McMahon family instead, but... Imagine It, what if Iron Sheik had taken the money and shoot broken Hulk Hogan's leg, keeping himself as the World Champion instead of dropping that title to Hulk Hogan in 1984.

A few events in 1987 led to major ramifications in 1988 when "The Natural" Butch Reed was late to a TV taping where he was supposed to win the #WWE Intercontinental Title from Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, leading to The Honky Tonk Man instead getting that spot.

HTM would go on to hold the belt for a record 454 days, in part because he refused to drop the belt to "Macho Man" Randy Savage on The inaugural episode of The Main Event airing Feb 5th, 1988. This would lead booking changes in the then WWF, and those would be some of the most significant changes in #wrestling and #wrestlemania history. But Imagine It, what might have happened if Honky Tonk Man agreed to do the job to Savage?

Also, this episode features Mo's old We Talk Wrestling co-host Addie joining him and Joel. Let the chaos ensue.

The Fiend and his Firefly Fun House was one of the most memorable and innovative gimmicks ever to be seen on #wwe television, but somewhere along the line the creative got muddled and Bray Wyatt's alter ego never reached his full potential before being laid to rest alongside his brilliant creator.

In this episode of the Imagine It Pro Wrestling Podcast we look back at what went wrong and what could have been booked differently while remembering the genius of the man behind it all, the late Windham Rotunda.
