Paul had already endured abandonment, abuse, instability, and more pain than most people experience in a lifetime. By 14, he was paying rent and providing for himself. He eventually left home carrying everything he owned in a cardboard box.
Statistically, Paul says he shouldn’t be here. He could have easily ended up imprisoned, addicted, or dead—but God had another plan.
Years later, after walking into a house filled with drugs, alcohol, pornography, and people he no longer wanted influencing his life, Paul reached his breaking point. He threw everyone out and decided he would attack the next person who came to the door.
Then someone knocked.
Standing outside was Pastor Daryl Scott—the man who had previously told Paul that Jesus loved him and had a purpose for his life. That night, in the middle of all the darkness and brokenness surrounding him, Paul fell to his knees and gave his life to Christ.
