Planning a trip along Iceland’s South Coast? 🇮🇸 In this episode, we’re taking you along one of our favourite routes in the entire country, sharing the places we think are genuinely worth stopping for, the mistakes to avoid, and the little tips we’ve picked up from our own trips.

We start all the way out at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach before working our way back along the South Coast — which is exactly how we recommend doing it if you’re travelling from Reykjavík.

Along the way we talk about Grófarlækjarfoss, the Skeiðará Bridge Monument and its incredible glacier views, Vík, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Skógafoss, Kvernufoss, Seljalandsfoss and plenty more.

We’ll also share some of our favourite places to eat and visit around Vík, including Black Crust Pizzeria, the Lava Show and the Mineral Shed, plus plenty of practical advice for planning your day.

And remember — this is only scratching the surface. There are SO many waterfalls, viewpoints, beaches and hidden gems along Iceland’s South Coast, so give yourself time to explore rather than trying to race through everything.
