  • The Man Who Found the Lockbox at the Bryant Mill Bridge — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/08
Summer of 1991, early evening on the Bryant Mill Bridge in Cutter's Hollow. A man named Edwin Parrish finds a rusted lockbox tucked under the bridge's eastern span. Inside: a single key, a photograph of a girl who looks like someone he knew in high school, and a note that reads 'She was the first. Don't open the root cellar at the old Pruitt place.' Edwin can't let it go. He drives out to the Pruitt farm that same night, finds the root cellar door under a pile of dead leaves, and uses the key. What he sees in the lamplight is not a body. It's not a room. It's a pattern of scratches on the concrete floor that look like they were made by someone counting down from a very large number. And the scratches are fresh. This is a story about curiosity, the smell of wet earth after rain, and the feeling of being watched from a place that should have been empty for thirty years.

  • The Paper Girl at the Overpass on Route 9 — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/07
In the autumn of 2011, Luna took a wrong turn near the town of Wisp Hollow, Ohio, and found herself parked under the derelict overpass on Route 9. A girl in a yellow raincoat was standing on the gravel shoulder, holding a stack of newspapers that looked decades old. Luna stopped to ask for directions, but the girl kept offering her a paper—a paper that carried a headline from a date that hadn't come yet, about a flood that would wipe the town off the map in six months. The girl's name was Margot. She had died on that same overpass in 1987, waiting for a ride that never came. Luna took the paper and drove away, but when she looked in the rearview, the girl was still standing there, and her mouth was moving, spelling out a number—a countdown. Every night since, Luna has dreamed of water rising through the floorboards of her car, and the girl's hand pressing a wet newspaper against the glass. She has six months left, or maybe Margot does. The paper is still on the passenger seat, and the ink is starting to bleed.

  • The Dolls in the Attic at 117 Sycamore — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/06
Luna recounts a summer night in 1998 in the small town of Ashburton, Ohio. She and her friend Leo break into an abandoned house at 117 Sycamore Street, lured by rumors of a secret attic room. Inside, they find hundreds of handmade dolls, each one a perfect replica of a missing child from the town's history. The dolls are arranged in a circle, facing a small wooden chair. As they try to leave, they realize the dolls have moved. The episode ends with Luna alone in the dark, a single doll in her hands, whispering a name that sounds like her own.

  • The Night the Sign at Cutter's Diner Fell — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/05
In the summer of 2019, on a dead-end stretch of Route 11 in upstate New York, a neon diner sign kept falling, night after night. Just before three in the morning. Always pointing east. The owner, a man named Harlan, swore it wasn't wind or wear. He called me after the third night, voice cracked, saying the bolts weren't loose—the metal was warm to the touch. I drove out that August, past fields gone to goldenrod, and parked under the flicker of a dying streetlight. What I found inside that diner, under the hum of a fryer that hadn't been used in years, was a story about something that had been waiting for Harlan's family since 1947. A story about a handprint in the gravel, a name scratched into a refrigerator door, and the reason Cutter's Diner never served breakfast. This is what I saw. This is what followed me home.

  • The Man Who Fixed the Streetlights on Old County Road — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/04
In the summer of 2003, on a two-lane blacktop called Old County Road just outside of Bakersville, the streetlights started dying one by one. Not flickering — just going dark, like someone pulled a plug. The county sent a repairman named Harold, a quiet man who lived alone with his tools. He fixed them, and they stayed fixed. But after a few nights, the lights on that road began to shift — casting shadows in wrong directions, pooling under specific trees, illuminating things that shouldn't have been there. Harold kept going out there, night after night, because someone had to. Luna met him at a diner at 2 a.m., and he told her about the shapes he saw in the circles of light — shapes that seemed to be waiting. This episode follows Harold's slow unraveling, the night he didn't come back, and what Luna found when she drove that road herself: a single streetlight still burning, and the thing standing under it.

  • The Man Who Listened to the Water Tower — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/03
One summer, a man named Eli Peltier moves into a dying town in Kansas called Fetter Grove. He doesn't talk much, but every night he sits by the water tower with a stethoscope and listens. Luna pieces together what he heard, what it wanted, and why the tower was finally torn down. A story about loneliness, sound, and the things that listen back from inside the ground.

  • The Station at Mile 14 — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/02
In the autumn of 2003, I found myself in Red Bluff, South Dakota — a town that seemed to exist only as a rumor between truck stops. I was tracing the origin of a set of hand-carved wooden figures that kept appearing in antique shops along a two-hundred-mile stretch of highway. Every one of them was a bird. Every one of them had its wings folded tight against its body. The last one led me to an old Esso station at mile marker 14 on County Road 9, a place the locals called 'the station that waited.' The man who ran it, a soft-spoken widower named Elias, told me about the crows. But it wasn't the crows that mattered — it was what they carried. This is a story about a road that gets narrower the longer you stay on it, and about the things you find when you stop looking for the way back.
