Discernment is essential in a world full of counterfeits. Jesus teaches us how to identifying truth in Matthew 7:15–29. In this message by Pastor Maiola Vivas, we unpack the warning to be on guard against false prophets who appear gentle on the outside but on the inside are driven by selfish gain. Rather than becoming paranoid or caught up in endless debates about who is right and wrong, we learn to evaluate spiritual influences not by talent, giftings, or crowd size - but by the lasting, Christlike character produced in that person's life.
This passage also teaches us to look inward and examine the authenticity of our own walk with God. Jesus makes it clear that simply calling Him "Lord" or putting on a show of spirituality is not the same as truly knowing Him or surrendering to His will. Real faith goes deeper than outward appearance. This kind of faith is marked by genuine repentance, a personal relationship with Christ, and a life transformed from the heart.
