Sometimes, the most meaningful businesses are born out of love, resilience, and the determination to create something better. In this inspiring episode of the Tranzcendent Outlook Podcast, I sit down with Annya White-Brown — entrepreneur, small business consultant, and founder of NaturalAnnie Essentials — to explore her remarkable journey from a mother seeking natural solutions for her daughter to the visionary entrepreneur behind a thriving, tropical-inspired fragrance brand and a welcoming community candle bar.Originally from Jamaica, Annya moved to Bridgeport, CT, in 2006, pursued her college education, and began her career at an IT research company. But life had a different path in store for her. When her first daughter was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, Annya found herself searching for alternative ways to soothe her daughter's skin. Drawing on the wisdom of her Jamaican upbringing, where herbs and oils were a familiar part of everyday life, she returned to her roots, researched natural ingredients, and began creating products that helped her daughter. What started in her kitchen in 2015 as a small collection of skincare products soon blossomed into something much bigger — NaturalAnnie Essentials, a brand that grew to reach stores across the United States and Canada! In 2016, Annya introduced soy candles to her product line, and their growing popularity inspired her to embrace a new direction. From intimate candle-making parties hosted in backyards to opening a brick-and-mortar candle bar in Bridgeport, she transformed a creative passion into an experience that brings people together.Today, the NaturalAnnie Essentials Candle Bar is more than a place to make candles. It is a community-centered space where creativity, connection, and culture come together. A place where people are welcomed, inspired, and encouraged to create something uniquely their own — all while enjoying the feel-good vibes of tropical-inspired fragrances. Annya's story is a powerful reminder that sometimes our greatest challenges become the starting point for our greatest creations. Her journey speaks to the courage to pivot, the importance of trusting your instincts, and the beauty of building something meaningful from the things life places in your hands.Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur, a small business owner, a creative spirit, or someone searching for inspiration to take that next step, this conversation will remind you that your journey doesn't have to follow a straight line to lead somewhere extraordinary.Tune in, be inspired, and discover how Annya White-Brown turned purpose into passion — one product, one candle, and one connection at a time.Thank you for watching and being part of the Tranzcendent Outlook community. Remember: sometimes the path to your purpose begins with a simple act of love.Stay inspired. Keep growing.
