What does it mean to become?
We often talk about becoming as though there is some finished version of ourselves waiting at the end of the journey. But life rarely works that way. We move through real stages and real thresholds. We arrive—and then, eventually, life asks us to move again.
In this episode of The Sacred Resonance Podcast, Reverend Larry J. Morris III reflects on liminal spaces, the stages that mark our lives, and the difference between genuine growth and a culture obsessed with continuous self-improvement. Becoming does not have to mean constantly fixing, optimizing, or proving ourselves. Unfinished does not mean defective.
Larry also explores the gift of having a horizon: those moments when we can imagine where we may be headed and allow that vision to give us direction without turning the future into an indictment of the present.
A question to carry:
What in you may already be becoming before you have language for it?
