What followed a hunter out of Green Swamp? What approached a lone hiker near Waynesville on two legs? Why did two children insist they could see a wolfman in their grandfather’s backyard when the adults beside them saw nothing?

Tonight on Phantoms & Monster Radio, UNEXPLAINED NORTH CAROLINA brings together eight unsettling reports from the state’s swamps, rural communities, and western mountains.

The presentation includes:

• The historical account of blood-colored rain in Chatham County in 1884.

• A hunter’s reported pursuit by an enormous black cat in Green Swamp.

• An upright canine encounter near Waynesville in July 2021.

• A clothed wolfman reportedly visible to two children in Cleveland County.

• A childhood encounter with a strangely shaped figure near Brown Mountain.

• A camper’s account of a reptile-like humanoid in the Smoky Mountains.

• A search for a missing cat that led to a disturbing discovery in the woods.

• An unverified claim of a military operation against aggressive Sasquatch in western North Carolina.

These accounts are presented for discussion and examination. They include personal recollections, a secondhand report, historical claims, and an unsupported allegation of military involvement. Their inclusion does not prove the events happened as described.
