You are at the top of your game in your sport. Maybe you are the best in the world. But, you also want to start a family. For many female athletes, these two things happen at the same time - with careers often peaking when athletes are most fertile - the ages of 20-29.

Can you do both? We have seen athletes like Serena Williams, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Alice Kinsella do it. But how easy is it? Spain’s Football Federation, and Chelsea football team are paving the way to helping women have more options when it comes to their athletic careers and motherhood.

We hear what several athletes think about the new fertility schemes announced, and we speak to Jo Perkins, an expert in female athlete health. She tells us why options like this are so important, but what else needs to be done.
