If your faith feels stuck, dry, like nothing has moved in months, this verse is talking to you.
Peter says if these qualities are yours and increasing, they keep you from being ineffective and unfruitful in the knowledge of Christ. Increasing is the word that matters. Not perfected. Not finished. Moving. Which means the dryness you are feeling is often not a sign that God left. It is a sign that something in the chain stopped growing, and it can start again.
