I thought I was taking an ordinary taxi ride home. But when the driver turned onto an isolated forest road, I realized something was terribly wrong.

In the fall of 2008, Rachel Turner finishes a late shift at a hospital in northern Pennsylvania. After missing her usual employee shuttle, she has no choice but to find another way home.

A taxi seems like the safest option.

The driver is calm, polite, and appears to know the area well.

But as the town lights disappear behind them, his questions become increasingly unsettling.

Then he takes an unfamiliar turn.

He claims the main road is closed. He insists he knows a shortcut. And when Rachel asks him to turn around, he refuses.

With no houses nearby, unreliable phone reception, and miles of dark forest surrounding the taxi, Rachel begins to realize that the man behind the wheel may not be who he claims to be.

And the farther they travel, the fewer chances she has to escape.

A chilling, realistic horror story filled with psychological suspense, a mysterious taxi driver, an isolated forest road, and a terrifying wrong turn that becomes a nightmare.
