What happens when a Millennial boss and her Gen Z marketing manager decide to record their unfiltered conversations? Welcome to I Started a Podcast with My Boss, where we're breaking the fourth wall on workplace dynamics, one episode at a time.

Join us as we dissect the marketing moves making waves in pop culture, debate which brands are absolutely crushing it (and which ones are missing the mark), and navigate the real talk about career growth, generational differences, and what it actually means to work together across the millennial-Gen Z divide.

Hosted by Kayleigh Christina founder of CLEARSTEM Skincare, and Brittany Barnes, Senior Marketing Manager and professional Gen Z translator, this podcast is equal parts business strategy, cultural commentary, and honest conversations about ambition, life in LA, and the messy, motivating reality of building something together.

Whether you're a founder, an employee, or just someone who's ever wondered what your boss really thinks (or what your team is actually saying in the group chat), this is the podcast that says the quiet part out loud.

New episodes drop weekly. Let's get into it.

  • MY TEAM CALLED ME INTIMIDATING - The AI Problem We Can All See, The NBA FBI Raid & Why We Are Obsessed With It
    2025/11/29

Kayleigh is in her masculine today and we can tell.

In this episode, we sat down after an incredible experience at the Beauty Matter Summit to share the raw truth about networking that no one tells you—and why 90% of people are doing it completely wrong.

We dive deep into management styles and get vulnerable about something that's been on my mind: being called "scary" by my team. But here's what I've realized—there's a difference between being feared and having standards. When someone says you're intimidating, it often means they recognize you won't accept mediocrity. I break down why that's not something to apologize for.

We also get into the rise of AI and a problem we're noticing that no one's talking about. People are becoming too reliant on it—and here's the thing: we can tell. We can spot AI-generated work immediately, and it's creating a bigger issue than people realize. Your creativity, your voice, your critical thinking—it's all being outsourced, and it's going to catch up with you.

We also had to share our thoughts on the NBA FBI sports gambling raid and the recent Louvre situation.

    This one gets real.
