I AM THE TRUE VINE | Connected to Christ or Headed for Disaster?

Can a branch survive after being disconnected from the vine? Can a life produce godly fruit while separated from Jesus Christ? In John 15:1–8, Jesus gives a sobering declaration: “I am the true vine.” He warns us that apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value.

A person may be religious, successful, admired, and surrounded by material possessions, yet remain spiritually barren because there is no living connection with Christ. Sin promises freedom but produces separation. Separation produces spiritual dryness. Spiritual dryness produces decay—and continued rejection of Christ ends in judgment.

Are you truly connected to Jesus Christ? Is your life producing the fruit of repentance, obedience, holiness, love, and righteousness? Or are you protecting habits that are choking your spiritual life?

Some habits must die because the fruit of Christ cannot grow where the weeds of sin are deliberately protected. God’s grace does not excuse spiritual barrenness; it calls us to repentance, transformation, and fruitful living.
