Coach Danny Sprinkle just pulled off a roster surprise by adding Tayshawn Comer, a versatile 6’1 guard with serious scoring punch, to the Washington Huskies’ 2026-27 team — even though they were already at scholarship max. Comer, who lit up Nevada with 11 PPG and 3.6 APG and dropped 16 points in a key game against the Huskies, brings proven production and elite versatility as a point and shooting guard. His rise from Evansville, where he earned All-MVC honors averaging 16.2 PPG, makes him a perfect fit for Sprinkle’s evolving roster. With veteran transfers, returning stars, and potential international shakeups on the horizon, the Huskies’ final lineup could still hold some surprises — but Comer’s addition is a major boost.
