Authors using AI is Raoul Pal's new book the future? AI "partenered" with author Raoul Pal to help his publishers turn 30 years of his ideas, speeches, frameworks and intellectual property into his new book, The Everything Code.

Is this the future of AI book writing — and what does it mean for authors? In this episode I look at the fascinating story behind Raoul Pal’s new book and why Harriman House, Pan Macmillan describe the process as “human-originated and AI-facilitated.”

The source material was Pal's own archive material works, while the final text went through human shaping, structuring and editing. Rather than asking AI to invent a book from scratch, the process drew on Raoul’s existing body of work — (his IP) his own ideas, writing, speeches and frameworks — using the AI system Weave developed by CHAPTR, alongside fact-checking, editorial shaping and human review. That distinction matters.

As an author, publisher, and AI Book Coach, I've long been saying we're moving toward a model where AI can help writers organise, retrieve, connect and develop their own intellectual property without replacing the human voice behind it.

And Raoul Pal is an especially interesting example because his thinking goes beyond writing into something else I’m fascinated by: the Future Self, exponential change and how we prepare ourselves for the world that AI is creating.
