A PLAN B is not a passport, a residence permit, an offshore company or a foreign bank account.
It is a system of options designed around your own circumstances.
In the Season 1 finale of PLAN B, Wilson Gomez brings together the ideas explored throughout the series and looks at how to begin building a personal PLAN B that is practical, coherent and manageable.
In this episode:
• Start by identifying what you are actually trying to protect
• Understand where your biggest dependencies are
• Separate immediate needs from long-term objectives
• Think about residence before simply collecting residence permits
• Consider whether a second citizenship solves a genuine problem
• Diversify banking without creating unnecessary complexity
• Make business structures fit your real activities
• Understand how tax residence interacts with the rest of the structure
• Consider family, lifestyle and geographic preferences
• Build redundancy where failure would have serious consequences
• Prioritize options you can realistically maintain
• Review your PLAN B as circumstances change
The purpose is not to collect as many countries, passports, companies and bank accounts as possible.
Every additional structure creates obligations.
Every residence may have renewal requirements.
Every company requires administration.
Every bank relationship requires compliance.
And every international decision should fit into the larger picture.
A good PLAN B starts with the question:
What happens if my current arrangement stops working?
Where would you live?
Where could you legally remain?
How would you access money?
Could your business continue operating?
What alternatives would your family have?
Those questions reveal where genuine diversification may be useful.
You do not need to solve everything at once.
Build the most important layer first.
Then add another option where it solves a real problem.
The objective is not complexity.
The objective is resilience.
Not escape.
Optionality.
And not a perfect plan for every possible future — but enough credible alternatives that one unexpected change does not control your entire life.
That is the foundation of a personal PLAN B.
