概要
 This episode tells the remarkable story of Air Canada Flight 143, a Boeing 767 that lost both engines at 26,000 feet after running out of fuel. A combination of unit-conversion errors, inadequate training, and a faulty fuel measurement system left the crew with dangerously inaccurate fuel information.
With no engine power, Captain Bob Pearson used his glider experience to perform an extraordinary emergency landing at the former Gimli air base. Despite the unusual circumstances and a difficult evacuation, all 69 people on board survived. The aircraft became famously known as the “Gimli Glider,” turning a near-catastrophic failure into one of aviation’s most remarkable survival stories.
