Melanie Masarin is the founder of Ghia, a non-alcoholic aperitif designed to change the way we think about drinking and socializing. Ghia is meant to create an aperitivo hour, inviting everyone to the table and transporting you to a place of simple pleasures and connection (without numbing the night). 

 

Melanie is the recipient of a Forbes 30 under 30 (2018; e-comm & retail) award and since launch last summer, Ghia has been praised by The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, and many others. Most recently, Melanie was the Head of Retail and Offline Experiences at Glossier.

  In this episode, we chat about Ghia's launch during the early days of the pandemic, why Melanie wants to take the word "drinking" back from alcohol with Ghia, the "sober curious" movement, and the moments she knew that Ghia was making waves.
