What if the future of healthier, more sustainable buildings begins with something as simple as natural sunlight?

On this episode of I Am Refocused Radio, we welcome Neall Digert, Vice President of Innovation and Market Development at Kingspan Light + Air and Solatube International, to explore how innovative daylighting and ventilation technologies are transforming the spaces where we live, work, learn, and connect.

With decades of experience in sustainable design, daylighting, and building innovation, Neall shares how advanced engineering is helping architects and developers bring natural light into buildings while improving energy efficiency and supporting occupant well-being.

We explore Solatube's Tubular Daylighting Devices (TDDs), technology designed to channel natural sunlight into interior spaces while minimizing glare and unwanted heat gain. These innovative solutions have been incorporated into major facilities, including Los Angeles International Airport and the Princeton Art Museum.

Neall also discusses Kingspan Light + Air's advanced skylights, translucent building systems, and natural ventilation solutions, along with the growing importance of designing buildings that serve both people and the environment.

In this conversation, we explore:

• How natural daylight affects the way we experience indoor environments

• The science and innovation behind Solatube technology

• Why energy-efficient building design matters

• The relationship between natural lighting, productivity, and well-being

• How sustainable technologies are reshaping architecture

• What's next for daylighting, ventilation, and the future of building design

From airports and museums to schools, workplaces, and commercial spaces, discover how forward-thinking innovation is bringing buildings closer to nature.
