Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
What does self-editing actually look like when you’re still making decisions, taking risks and doing what you want?
For me, it looked like constantly explaining my business to my partner because I desperately wanted him to understand why I believed in it. It looked like perfectionism, waiting until I had the right words and trying to make sure I couldn’t be misunderstood.
None of it felt like self-editing at the time.
In this episode, I’m looking at the quieter ways we start checking ourselves against other people’s reactions — and the question I now use to catch myself doing it:
Would I still do this the same way if I knew nobody was going to judge me?
