Dan Beaudoin is the owner of DMF Bait Company, a live bait operation his father and uncle launched in 1977 out of Waterford, Michigan. They were school teachers who needed summer income and stumbled into a pyramid scheme. They lost their life savings but pivoted to nightcrawlers and built something nobody saw coming…

DMF is now in 49 states: Walmart, Cabela's, Bass Pro, and expanding into convenience stores. Plus, Dan's son just started full time; generation three is being planned intentionally, the way Dan wishes his own transition had been.
