  • Ep 78: Finding joy in the everyday, with Cat Googe
    2026/02/17

In today's episode, I chat with the wonderful Cat Googe, a conscious joy coach, laughter yoga facilitator, and self-proclaimed "Joy Queen" who is on a mission to help people reclaim joy as a daily practice rather than a distant destination.

In our conversation, Cat shares how she transitioned from a teaching career that left her feeling energetically mismatched and burnt out, to discovering laughter yoga at a well-being day - a moment that would completely change the direction of her life.

We delve deeply into Cat's joy philosophy, and how it doesn't have to be reserved for big occasions like weddings – and exists just as much in the tiniest day to day moments too. She conveys how building our "joy muscle" through neuroplasticity can help us weather life's challenges, and why joy and sadness can absolutely coexist.

It was also fascinating to hear Cat's insight into intentional laughter and how our bodies don't know the difference between "real" and "pretend" laughter — we still release endorphins and lower cortisol either way. She also shares her bold journey into the festival circuit, which has now become a core part of her business strategy, bringing laughter yoga to thousands of people across the UK.

So if you're feeling stuck in a career that no longer serves you, or simply curious about how to pro-actively cultivate happiness, Cat's heart-led guidance offers a refreshing reminder that we can choose joy right here, right now.

  • Ep 77: Building movement into everyday life, with Wendy Welpton
    2026/02/03

In today's episode, I chat with Wendy Welpton, the founder of Reclaim Movement, author of 'Move Well for Life,' and host of the 'Make Movement Matter' podcast.

Wendy shares her powerful evolution from a desk-bound career in fashion and wine marketing to becoming a movement specialist - a transformation sparked by a running injury at 40 that left her with chronic pain for four years. She reflects honestly about how this challenging experience led her to discover natural movement and the revolutionary idea that it's not just the hour we spend exercising that matters, but how we move throughout our entire day.

Wendy explains how our modern world has stripped away the natural movement patterns our bodies are designed for, and offers practical strategies to reclaim them without adding extra time to our already busy days.

Wendy's concept of 'stacking' really stood out for me - adding movement to tasks we're already doing, and how simple, playful adjustments transform everyday activities into opportunities to build strength, mobility and resilience for the future.

So whether you're dealing with pain, feeling stuck in sedentary patterns, or simply want to set yourself up for a healthier future, Wendy's down-to-earth advice and empowering perspective provide a roadmap to making movement matter in ways that fit seamlessly into real life.

  • Ep 76: Building businesses and breaking barriers, with Robyn Currie
    2026/01/20

In today's episode, I chat with the founder of The Business Nest, Robyn Currie, who shares her remarkable entrepreneurial journey from leaving school at the age of 16, to building multiple successful businesses before turning 30.

In our conversation, Robyn talks of the early start to her career, including launching a business as a side hustle at just 19, and how it eventually led to running a thriving family-friendly café for nearly 10 years.

We also explore how Robyn has gone about building The Business Nest into a vibrant networking community over the last three years, creating the supportive environment she herself was seeking post-pandemic. She also shares the realities of being self-employed whilst navigating motherhood, including why she deliberately brings her children to workshops to show other women that they too can do the same.

Robyn's story offers inspiration for anyone navigating their own entrepreneurial journey; if a major business pivot feels overwhelming, if you're searching for your community, or if you're wondering how to balance business growth with family life, her candid nature and grounded advice provide reassurance that moving forward is possible, even when it feels daunting.
