Coach DeMeco Ryans is thrilled with C.J. Stroud’s breakout performance, praising his growing command, confidence, and smart game management—like wisely running on third-and-long instead of forcing a pass. Stroud’s calm, composed demeanor under pressure stood out to Ryans and veteran running back David Montgomery, who called him the “general of his team” for keeping everyone focused and leading by example. Montgomery, newly joined, hailed Stroud as the ultimate leader, while film analyst N.D. Kalu noted Stroud’s evolution beyond last year’s form. Ryans also commended the offense’s balanced attack, highlighting how all four tight ends contributed, keeping defenses off-balance and showcasing the coordinator’s creativity.

Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair got hit with an $11,492 fine for writing “Hind Rajab” on his eye black — a pro-Palestine message — during a game against the Bills. It’s not his first rodeo: he was fined over $11K earlier this year for “Stop the Genocide.” The NFL’s strict rules forbid personal messages on gear without prior approval, and Al-Shaair’s activism continues to clash with league policy, leaving him in a tough spot between speaking out and staying compliant.

NFL fines pile up after Bills vs. Texans chaos: Mario Edwards gets hit with an $8,923 penalty for a low shot on Josh Allen — a play that set up a game-winning field goal. Three other Texans players also face fines for uniform violations. Meanwhile, Allen shredded the defense with 330+ yards and four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing), sparking MVP chatter even from Russell Wilson. The Bills now face the banged-up Lions in primetime at their new stadium — perfect timing for Allen to shine again.
