Bo Horvat has officially taken the captain’s reins for the New York Islanders, becoming the 16th player in franchise history to wear the ‘C’ after Anders Lee’s departure. With nine other NHL teams currently captain-less, Horvat’s seasoned leadership — honed during his four-year stint as Vancouver Canucks captain — is poised to anchor a young roster. A proven playoff performer with 99 goals and 198 points since joining New York, Horvat also dominates faceoffs (600+ wins) and leads the team on special teams. His blend of offensive firepower, accountability, and veteran poise makes him the ideal bridge between past success and future contention as training camp begins.
