What does it mean to worship together? The Bible says that God made us, wants to make us his own, and that God is good. Jesus comes as the good shepherd to lay down his life for the sheep, give us new hearts, and bring us home to God. Only when we understand this will we be a community that worships together by finding our joy in God and responding to God with thanks and praise.

News stories abound in the modern world declaring that we are experiencing a crisis of meaning, without hope for a better future, and feeling disconnected from others. Our only hope is that God will tell a better story, give us power beyond the walls of this world, and bless us with a salvation that we do not have to create.

King David magnifies God in Psalm 34 by writing from the memory of his most humiliating moment: pretending to be insane to escape an enemy king. We find that Psalm 34 is the antidote to our pride and reminds us that God isn't near to the impressive and self-made, but to the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit. And when we encounter his nearness in Jesus, it changes everything about us and the community we're called to build together.
