  • First Things First: Jesus is Savior and Lord
    2026/09/06

We launched our new series, Jesus First, exploring how we engage a hurting and divided culture, not by starting with “what should Christians think about X?” but by starting with Christ himself. From 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, we were reminded that of first importance is our shared belief that Christ died, was buried, and rose again. Before we can engage the pressing issues facing our city, we must not start with an issue, but with Jesus.

  • Exposed to Harm, Safe in God
    2026/08/30

David wrote Psalm 63 farther from the sanctuary than he'd ever been — hunted, thirsty, surrounded by men who wanted him dead. And yet the closer danger comes, the more intimate his words to God become. What if the safest place was never the sanctuary at all?

  • The Rule of the King
    2026/08/23

People say Psalm 1 belongs in Proverbs and Psalm 2 belongs with the prophets. They're the weirdest psalms in the whole book. So why does the New Testament quote Psalm 2 more than almost any other? This week we look at the rule of the king, and how a coronation song for Israel ends up being all about King Jesus.

  • Malnourished Lions Die
    2026/08/02

The Psalms are poetic and hit all the feels. But is that their main goal? Jesus said he came to fulfill the Psalms. How so? This week we look at Psalm 34 which includes King David faking insanity, a malnourished lion, and Jesus filling us with hope amidst personal hurts and heartbreaks.

  • Remembered Through God's Forgetfulness
    2026/07/19

Psalm 103 tells us that God separates from our sins "as far as the east is from the west." How does he do it? By sending his son to bear our sins and die a death that was meant to erase its victims from memory. And by forgetting our sins through Christ, God grants us the only form of significance that really lasts: remembering us forever in Christ.

  • When God is all you have, God is all you need.
    2026/07/12

Envy convinces us we've lost because someone else has more. The gospel reminds us that if we have Christ, we already possess the only treasure that lasts.
