Hebrews warns us to pay careful attention to the good news we have received, lest we slowly drift away from it. The danger is not always a deliberate rejection of faith. Sometimes it is simply neglect—allowing our hearts to wander from the grace and salvation God has given us in Jesus Christ.

Yet the gospel calls us back to Christ, reminding us of the greatness of the salvation he has accomplished for us.

Joining us for this conversation is Mary Vines, a lifelong member of Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a recent graduate of Homewood High School. This fall, Mary will begin her studies at Brown University, where she plans to major in biology and compete as a member of Brown’s Division I gymnastics team.

Jesus has always been Mary’s Lord and Savior, and over the past several years, she has seen her faith continue to deepen and grow. As she begins this new chapter, Mary is excited to discover what God has planned for her and the opportunities she will have to grow in her faith and share the love of Christ with others.
