What happens when God encounters an ordinary person in an ordinary place and calls them to participate in something extraordinary?
In Exodus 3:1–15, Moses encounters God through the mysterious burning bush. God tells Moses to remove his sandals because he is standing on holy ground—and then reveals something even more important: God has seen the suffering of the Israelites, heard their cries, and knows their pain.
But God's response to oppression doesn't end with compassion.
God calls Moses.
This episode explores the Burning Bush story through the themes of holy ground, God's presence, compassion, justice, liberation, courage, and the call to stand with people who are suffering or marginalized.

The burning bush reminds us that God is not indifferent to human suffering.
God sees.
God hears.
God knows.
And sometimes God's answer begins with someone willing to say:
“Here I am.”
