The St. Louis Blues’ goalie future is up for grabs as rookie Joel Hofer outperformed veteran Jordan Binnington last season, posting stellar stats while Binnington struggled—raising questions about who deserves the starting role. With Binnington getting another shot in training camp to earn starts, the team hopes he can avoid a short bench stint and prove he’s still worth his hefty contract, especially with free agency looming. General Manager Alex Steen clearly wants Hofer to be the long-term answer, but fans are rooting for both goalies to deliver strong performances this year.
