  • 2025-26 NHL Schedule: MUST-WATCH Games & FULL Season Breakdown
    2025/07/17

Hello guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast. In this episode, I talk about the full schedule for the 2025–26 NHL season. I go over the biggest games, key matchups, and the dates you need to mark on your calendar. Whether you’re a long-time hockey fan or just getting into the game, this episode will help you understand what to watch and why it matters.First, I break down the opening night games for this season. Opening night for the 2025-26 NHL Season is Tuesday October 7, 2025. This will be a tripleheader on ESPN / ESPN+. We got the Blackhawks vs Panthers, Penguins vs Rangers, and Avalanche vs Kings. Then it's a TNT doubleheader on Wednesday October 8, 2025. It's the Bruins vs Capitals, and Kings vs Golden Knights (Mitch Marner makes his Golden Knights debut). Then I talked about the MUST-WATCH games for this season and why you should watch it. I also talked about the NHL's Frozen Frenzy, which is set to happen on Tuesday October 28, 2025. For those who don't know what the Frozen Frenzy is, it's a day where all 32 teams are in action. 32 teams. 16 games. 1 fun-filled night of hockey. This episode is great if you want a full breakdown of the season and don’t have time to read through every team’s schedule. I keep it simple, straight to the point, and focused on what matters most.So sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode. DON’T FORGET to FOLLOW the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeart Radio, and SUBSCRIBE to the YouTube channel. Also, once the regular season starts back, I will go back to my normal routine and put out episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Just wanted to let you guys know.

The only reason why is because there's no hockey going on in the offseason and it's kind of hard to come up with content to put out when there's no hockey going on. Can't wait for Fall though so the regular season can start back.

Anyways make sure to give this podcast a follow. Your No. 1 podcast for ALL things hockey.

  • NHL Announces Opening Night Games for 2025-26 Season | NHL News of the Day July 15 2025
    2025/07/15

Hello guys, and welcome back to another episode of the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast! In this episode, I talk about the NHL releasing the schedule for opening night of the 2025–26 season. The league is starting things off with a big tripleheader on October 7. First, the Florida Panthers will raise their Stanley Cup banner as they take on Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks. Then the Pittsburgh Penguins will play the New York Rangers as Mike Sullivan makes his debut as Rangers head coach against his former team. Last but not least, the Colorado Avalanche will face the Los Angeles Kings. It’s going to be a fun start to the season with these great matchups all across the league.I also cover a huge story in college hockey. Top prospect Gavin McKenna has committed to Penn State. This is a big deal because McKenna is expected to be the first overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. He had an amazing year in the WHL with 129 points in 56 games. He’s the first big name to go to college after a new rule allowed CHL players to join NCAA teams. His move to Penn State could change how young players choose to develop before going pro. Then we get into some offseason news around the NHL. There have been a few important signings. Bowen Byram signed a two-year deal to stay with the Sabres, and Nikolaj Ehlers signed a six-year contract deal with the Carolina Hurricanes. On the trade side, Arturs Silovs was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Isaac Howard is now with the Edmonton Oilers. These trades and signings could have a big impact next season, and I break down what they could mean for each team.So sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode. Don’t forget to follow the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and iHeart Radio. And make sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel! • 2025 NHL Free Agency Recap
    2025/07/02

Hello guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast. In this episode, I dive into everything that went down during the wild 2025 NHL Free Agency period. The biggest headline? Mitch Marner is officially a Vegas Golden Knight. That’s right—Marner was traded to Vegas in a massive sign-and-trade deal worth $96 million over eight years. I break down what this move means for both Vegas and Toronto, the ripple effects across the league, and how the Golden Knights are positioning themselves for another Stanley Cup run.I also talk about Brock Boeser deciding to stay put in Vancouver, signing a seven-year extension with the Canucks. This is a huge move for Vancouver’s long-term core, and I get into how Boeser fits into their evolving game plan and cap structure. On the defensive end, Ivan Provorov signed a seven-year deal to stay with the Columbus Blue Jackets. I discuss how that signing helps solidify Columbus’s blue line and why it signals a new phase of their rebuild aimed squarely at playoff contention.Of course, that’s not all. I also cover more key signings and team strategies from around the league, giving you the full scoop on how GMs across the NHL approached one of the most important days of the offseason. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode. DON'T FORGET to FOLLOW the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, and SUBSCRIBE to the YouTube Channel.
