From the time she can remember, Cynthia's life was survival. 🙏

Her mom was gone — caught in addiction and prostitution. Her dad was in prison for most of her childhood. She was raised by her grandmother, who eventually remarried a man everyone admired for his money and his standing at church.

Nobody knew what he really was.

For years Cynthia carried a secret she felt she had to protect — convinced that telling the truth would tear her whole family apart. She numbed the pain the only way she knew how, and by her teens the addiction had already taken hold.

But there was one person who refused to look away. Her great-grandmother — her "nanny" — a woman who prayed over her in the Spirit, took her to church, and finally stepped in when no one else would. Even when it cost her everything with the family.

This is Part 1 of Cynthia's story — the childhood, the loss, and the woman God used to pull her out before it was too late.
