Hearing God is not a one-time experience but an ongoing relationship of listening, obeying, and remaining connected to Him. This sermon explains why believers must stay open to God's continued guidance rather than assuming they have already heard everything He wants to say.

Scripture shows that God speaks in many ways, including through His Word, prayer, the Holy Spirit, teaching, and prophetic encouragement. Revelation 3:22 calls those with ears to hear what the Spirit says, while Job 33:14 reminds us that God speaks even when people do not perceive it.

The message also examines how believers can recognize God's voice. Jesus describes His followers as sheep who know the Shepherd's voice in John 10:3–5. Developing this discernment requires time in Scripture, prayer, quiet reflection, and a willingness to listen.

The sermon encourages believers to seek spiritual discernment while remaining cautious about false prophecy and voices that do not agree with God's Word. Jeremiah 33:3 reminds us to call upon God and expect Him to answer.

Ultimately, hearing God requires faith, patience, and consistent communion with Him. Isaiah 55:3 urges us to listen so that we may live, while Psalms 85:8 points to the peace found in hearing what the Lord says.
