Welcome to Singa Gwe? (What if it was you?), proudly presented by the Royal Rays Initiative Uganda.
In this episode, we set the scene. We discuss the current state of LGBTQ+ and HIV-positive life in Uganda, exploring the broader legal, political, and funding environment shaping HIV service access. We also hear the story of Mr. Muwonge Gerald—a dedicated human rights advocate, HIV activist, and the visionary head of the Foaster Foundation for Healthcare Uganda.
As a proud queer individual living with HIV, Gerald has transformed his personal journey into a powerful movement for change. He has become a vital source of inspiration and a beacon of hope for countless queer youths in Uganda living with HIV. He opens up about his lived experiences, the ongoing fight for human rights, and the incredible community-building work being done at the Foaster Foundation.
