Holistic care isn't only for when you're sick. It can keep you well. In this episode, Dr. Jocelyn closes out the first week of Truth in Motion with hope rooted in design, history, and evidence. She explores how your body was made to heal, why prevention has always been the oldest goal of medicine, and what staying well looks like in real life.
She also looks at the true meaning of hope. In Hebrew, the word for hope also means a cord you can hold onto; in the New Testament, hope is called an anchor for the soul. She shares research showing that how you see yourself affects how you heal, and evidence that acupuncture works for chronic pain. Plus, a recent patient's story of relief after eight years of nothing helping.
