  • Is Your Past Still Running Your Life? Breaking Free from Childhood Pattern
    2026/07/16

    Season 1: Understanding the Pain

Have you ever reacted to something and wondered…

“Why did that affect me so deeply?”

Sometimes our strongest emotional reactions aren’t just about what’s happening today—they’re connected to experiences we’ve carried for years.

Many of us unknowingly continue living from survival patterns we developed in childhood. We become people-pleasers, fear rejection, avoid conflict, struggle with criticism, or feel like we’re never good enough. Although these patterns once helped us cope, they can quietly shape our relationships, decisions, and self-worth long into adulthood.

In this episode of Healing Out Loud, I share how my own childhood experiences—including parental abandonment, unhealthy relationships, and years spent searching for love and acceptance in the wrong places—influenced the choices I made and the emotional patterns I carried for years. Together, we’ll explore how unresolved wounds continue to shape our present and how awareness is the first step toward breaking free.

If you’ve ever felt like your past is still influencing your present, this conversation is for you.

    ✨ Reflection Questions

As you reflect on today’s episode, consider these questions:

    • Are there situations that trigger emotional reactions that seem stronger than the situation itself?

    • What childhood experiences may still be influencing the way you see yourself or relate to others?

    • What is one emotional pattern you’re ready to understand with greater compassion instead of self-judgment?

There are no right or wrong answers. Simply notice what comes up with curiosity and compassion. Healing begins with awareness.

    2026/07/02

    Season 1: Understanding the Pain

Have you ever found yourself carefully choosing your words because you were afraid of someone’s reaction?

Maybe you learned to read the room before you spoke. Maybe you became the peacemaker, avoided conflict, or found yourself apologizing even when you hadn’t done anything wrong.

For many of us, walking on eggshells begins in childhood. It becomes a survival strategy that quietly follows us into adulthood, shaping our relationships, our confidence, and the way we see ourselves.

In this episode of Healing Out Loud, I share my own experience of growing up with explosive reactions, learning to anticipate moods, and living with the fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. Together, we’ll explore why these patterns develop, how they continue to affect our lives, and what it means to begin finding our voice again.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to shrink yourself to keep the peace, this conversation is for you.

    ✨ Reflection Questions

As you reflect on today’s episode, consider these questions:

    • Have you ever found yourself changing what you say or do because you were afraid of someone’s reaction?

    • Where did you first learn that it felt safer to stay quiet than to speak your truth?

    • What is one small way you can begin honouring your voice with kindness and courage?

There are no right or wrong answers. Simply notice what comes up with curiosity and compassion. Healing begins with awareness.

  • The Cost of Being the Strong One: When Strength Becomes Survival
    2026/06/18

    Season 1: Understanding the Pain

Have you always been the one everyone could count on?

The one who held everything together, supported everyone else, and kept going—even when you were falling apart inside?

For many of us, being “the strong one” wasn’t a choice. It became a role we learned early in life. We became caregivers, peacemakers, problem-solvers, and protectors, often believing our own needs had to come last.

In this episode of Healing Out Loud, I share my own journey of carrying the weight of responsibility through parental abandonment, difficult relationships, single motherhood, and years of believing I had to handle everything on my own.

Together, we’ll explore the hidden cost of always being strong, why asking for help can feel so uncomfortable, and how healing begins when we give ourselves permission to acknowledge our own needs with compassion.

If you’ve ever felt exhausted from carrying the weight of everyone else, this conversation is for you.

    ✨ Reflection Questions

As you reflect on today’s episode, consider these questions:

    • When did you first learn that you had to be the strong one?

    • How has always being strong affected your emotional well-being and your relationships?

    • What is one small way you can begin showing yourself the same compassion you so freely offer to others?

There are no right or wrong answers. Simply notice what comes up with curiosity and compassion. Healing begins with awareness.

In this first episode of Healing Out Loud, I share my own journey through parental abandonment, betrayal, an eating disorder, failed relationships, and the emotional patterns that followed me for years.

Together, we’ll explore why healing isn’t about simply moving on—it’s about understanding how our past continues to influence our present.

We’ll talk about why emotional wounds don’t disappear with time alone, how survival patterns quietly shape our lives, and why healing begins with compassion rather than self-judgment.
