TOP 2% GLOBAL PODCAST Ever prayed for healing and wondered why the struggle remains? Do you love God and still feel stuck in anxiety, shame, anger, intrusive thoughts, or overwhelm? Have you read Scripture, tried to forgive, and done all the "right" things—but the same struggle keeps circling back? Do you want to hear God clearly but still wonder, "Was that really Him?" You are not weak in your faith, and your struggle is not your identity. Welcome to Heal with God—a Christian podcast where you'll learn to hear God's voice clearly, understand what's beneath the struggle, and partner with Him in healing. You'll grow in peace, discernment, and identity in Christ. I'm Heather O'Brien—a Jesus follower, wife, mom, minister, author, and Spirit-led healing coach. For years, I prayed, fasted, served God, and tried harder while privately battling depression, anxiety, shame, and rejection. I believed God spoke, but I didn't know how to hear Him clearly. Everything changed when I slowed down and let God show me what was beneath the struggle. I learned the symptom was a signal, not the conclusion. Now I help Christians do the same through biblical teaching, practical tools, stories, and live coaching. You'll learn to: → Hear God clearly → Recognize what's beneath the struggle → Stop managing what Jesus died to heal Bring your Bible, your coffee, and the laundry you forgot in the washer. We're healing with God in real life. NEXT STEPS: 👉 https://linktr.ee/healwithgodpodcastAll rights reserved キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 心理学 心理学・心の健康 聖職・福音主義 衛生・健康的な生活

  • 280| 4 Biblical Ways God Speaks That Most Christians Overlook for Inner Healing
    2026/09/03

You can know the Bible, love God, and still feel unsure about what He is saying to you personally. That uncertainty does not mean you are failing spiritually. God may already be speaking through Scripture, nature, dreams, other people, or ordinary moments—but you may be overlooking what He is doing within them.

In this episode, I share June's story from the Heal with God Signature Program and how learning to recognize God's voice more tangibly helped her deepen her trust in Him, understand her identity, steady her emotions, and find the courage to move forward.

    Key Takeaways
    • Recognize four purposes in God's communication: teaching, correction, preparation, and equipping

    • Understand why God's loving correction is different from condemnation

    • Notice repeated themes without forcing an immediate interpretation

    • Move from simply hearing truth to responding with one faithful step

    • Replace "I don't hear God" with the identity of someone learning His voice

Listen now and ask God which of these four purposes He may already be using in your everyday life.

    Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 10:27

Prayer: God, open my awareness to the ways You are teaching, correcting, preparing, and equipping me. Help me recognize Your voice, test what I hear against Scripture, and respond with trust.

Declaration: I am not spiritually defective. I am learning to recognize the voice of my Shepherd. God is not withholding Himself from me.

  • 279| How I Overcame Depression with 2 Biblical Healing Practices
    2026/08/27

For seven years, I lived with depression without ever asking why I was sad in the first place. I cried myself to sleep, woke from a dead sleep to vomit, and eventually accepted that this was simply how life was going to be. But as I began pursuing Jesus, taking communion, and paying attention to what He was doing around me, my mind was slowly being retrained. In this episode, I'm sharing the two Biblical healing practices that helped me stop rehearsing what pain had done and begin remembering what Jesus had done—and was still doing.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

Why depression can keep pulling your attention back toward painful memories

How to recognize what your mind has been rehearsing without shaming yourself

Why communion is a practical way to remember Jesus' finished work

How Biblical, shared, and personal testimonies can strengthen hope

Why taking thoughts captive is simple, but requires intentional practice

How supported walking out can help when information alone has not changed the pattern

Listen now, then ask God to show you what your mind has been rehearsing and which testimony of His faithfulness you need to remember today.

Scripture: "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11

Prayer: Jesus, thank You that what happened to me does not get the final word. Show me what my mind has been rehearsing, and bring Your faithfulness back to my remembrance. Help me take every thought captive and walk in the freedom You have already made possible. Amen.

Declaration: I am not defined by depression or by what happened to me. I am an overcomer through Jesus, and I will train my attention toward truth and hope.

  • 278| Shame Doesn't Get to Name You After Betrayal with Kristina Joy
    2026/08/20

Betrayal can do more than break trust. It can make you question your worth, your identity, your ability to hear God, and whether healing is actually possible for you. In this episode, Heather talks with Kristina Joy about healing after betrayal, rebuilding safety with Jesus, and learning how to stop letting shame name who you are.

This conversation is for the Christian who has been hurt, hidden, or emotionally guarded and still wonders why they feel stuck after praying, forgiving, or trying to move forward. You are not who betrayal told you you were. You are still loved, still seen, and still invited into freedom with Jesus.

    You'll gain:

    • A clearer understanding of how shame attaches itself to betrayal

    • Language for the lies betrayal can create around your identity

    • Encouragement for healing with Jesus without hiding or self-punishment

    • Insight into why safety matters in emotional and spiritual healing

    • A first step for bringing shame into the light without condemnation

Listen now and connect with Kristina Joy through her podcast, Intimacy After Infidelity: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/intimacy-after-infidelity-cut-contact-rebuild-trust/id1691443054

Scripture: Romans 8:1 says, "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus."

Prayer: Jesus, thank You that shame does not get to name me. Show me where betrayal has shaped the way I see myself, others, or You. Lead me into truth, safety, and healing. Help me receive Your love in the places I have wanted to hide. Amen.

Declaration: I am not who betrayal told me I was. I belong to Jesus. I can bring my pain into the light, receive grace, and walk in freedom.
