I’m Jarrett otherwise known as “Jarrett J. Krosoczka” and “JJK.” In 2018, I released my graphic memoir HEY, KIDDO that details my upbringing. I am the son of a mother who suffered from an opiod addiction, a father who was completely absent, and I was raised by very loving grandparents—who cursed and drank a lot. While making the book, I kept an audio diary. And I mean, from the time that I started organizing my ideas, through the difficulties of those early drafts, and all the way through to publication day.
