What blessed news to proclaim,
The Son of Man who was bruised to the grave rose again!
What an assurance of faith,
To trust the One who rules over death.
The only truth: Jesus is risen.
What a religion to embrace,
With every reason not to fear death.
What a blessed life to have,
Full of hope, peace, and joy.
I am secure, safe with Him.
I owe everything to the risen King.
Now and forever, I stand forgiven.
And because He lives, my heart shall sing!
What a blessing to know
That my beloved who sleep shall rise again!
Those in Christ who left me with tears,
I shall see them again with joy.
Jesus is risen!
All power and glory to Him!
Jesus is risen,
My faith is not in vain.
Jesus is risen,
I live forever.
Even if my flesh fails me today,
I know my name is written in heaven,
Just another reason to long for the city above.
He is risen,
I am truly alive.
