  • #32: Will I? Won't I? And how do I even know?
    2025/12/15
Hey gorgeous! 💛 In today’s episode, I take you with me on my sunrise beach walks, where so much of my clarity and inspiration arrives. Recently, those walks have been filled with one big question… have a listen to find out what it is. I unpack how I move through decisions in real life, the same way I support my clients through them. From tuning into intuition, to feeling the yes and no in the body, to giving myself space to ride the emotional wave rather than leaping into snap choices. It’s honest, real time, and very much how I navigate both the small business decisions and the big life ones. Inside this episode we explore✨ trusting your gut and listening before the mind jumps in✨ recognising your own intuitive signals✨ why decisions feel different at the peak and the low of emotions✨ noticing what lights you up and what drains you✨ what’s working, what’s not, and using Start Stop Continue✨ the benefits and consequences model I use with my corporate clients✨ exploring future possibilities without overwhelming yourself I share openly about my own energy, what feels aligned moving forward, and what doesn’t. And the answer that came through quickly and clearly when I finally asked myself what I really want moving forward. Spoiler alert: I’m feeling called to bring more voices and conversations into the podcast space next season. If you’d love to be a guest or if you’ve got topics you’d like me to dive into, please reach out. I’d absolutely love to hear from you. This whole season has been about healing, recalibrating, reclaiming, settling on the coast and stepping back into my queen energy. Thank you for being here and being part of it. • #31: Vulnerability, Ageing and Being Seen with Special Guest Suzi Joseph
    2025/12/01
Hey gorgeous! 💛 In this episode, I’m joined by my beautiful soul sister, yoga teacher and absolute pocket rocket, Suzi Joseph, for a real, raw chat about vulnerability . how it actually feels in everyday life, not just as a cute buzzword. We dive into Suzi’s story of growing up in Canada around alcoholism and domestic violence, how that shaped her people-pleasing and “runner” tendencies and what it was like to finally stand on a stage in front of 85 women and tell the truth about her life. We also wander into juicy territory around ageing, identity, leadership, social media, imposter syndrome and that playful inner child who just wants to come out and have some fun. From there, we explore what it means to let yourself be seen tears, wobbly voice, big nose, bikinis, boogie boards and all and why our stories matter, no matter how “big” or “small” they might seem. We chat about: ✨ Soul-sister friendships where nothing is off-limits and you can go months without talking, then pick up like it was two hours ago✨ Suzi’s journey from Northern Saskatchewan to Australia, from running away to finally connecting deeply with herself and her community✨ Growing up around alcoholism and domestic violence, being told to keep it a secret and the shame and “I need to save everyone” patterns that can come from that✨ People pleasing, fear of judgement and the belief that we have to make everyone happy to be loved and accepted✨ What it felt like for Suzi to share her story publicly for the first time at a women’s event, with a shaky voice, tears and a room full of eyes on her✨ My own experience of finally sharing about losing my mum at 12, the love-hate relationship I have with being vulnerable and why I still often cry when I talk about it✨ Comparison as the “fire of vulnerability”, that sneaky voice that says “other people have it worse, my story doesn’t matter”✨ Leadership and imposter syndrome, especially as women in positions of responsibility who feel like we “should” already know everything✨ Being seen as we age, teaching yoga at 67, rebranding at almost 60, putting photos of ourselves online and all the weird stories that can pop up about our bodies and our faces✨ Social media and self-expression: the bikini and boogie board profile pic, the fear of being judged and why I ultimately choose to show up anyway✨ Letting our inner child out to play, including my very giggly (slightly naughty) moment in a Qigong circle✨ The power of small brave acts: singing “O Canada” on a balcony in a new town, changing your seat in the room, wearing the outfit you really want to wear✨ Why genuine compliments are a gorgeous form of vulnerability, like the young woman who nervously came up to tell me she’d been watching me and loved my outfit✨ Simple, practical ways to lean into vulnerability: stepping outside your comfort zone just a little, trusting your story and remembering you’ll be judged anyway, so you may as well be you This episode is a raw, with a bit of spicy language! (you know me 😉), loving reminder that: Your story is important because it’s yoursYou don’t have to wait until you’re “fixed” to be seenTears are not weaknessYou can be scared and brave at the same time If you’ve ever felt “who am I to share this?”, “my story isn’t big enough”, “I don’t want to look stupid”, or “I’m too old, too much, not enough”, this conversation is for you. 💌 I’d love to hear how this episode lands for you, especially your own experiences with vulnerability, people pleasing, ageing or sharing your story. • #30: The Protective Freeze: When you're ready to move, but life isn't budging!
    2025/11/17

Wow… this one is a juicy one. I’ve just come back from a beautiful walk along the beach and the whales had a massive message for me and for you too 🐋

In this episode I’m diving deep into what I call the protective freeze, that feeling when life slows right down, nothing’s moving, and no matter how much you try, you can’t seem to get traction. It’s your body, your mind and your soul saying hang on, let’s pause until it feels safe to expand again.

While I was watching the whales breach, it hit me. Even when it looks like nothing’s happening on the surface, there’s something powerful moving deep below. That’s exactly what’s going on for so many of us right now.

Here’s what I’m chatting about in this episode:

    • What the protective freeze actually is and why it’s a natural part of growth
    • How our past experiences and long-term stress create deep patterns around safety
    • The subconscious beliefs that stop us from feeling ok to be happy or successful
    • How to trust your timing and soften instead of pushing harder
    • Letting go of control and allowing life to unfold with more ease
    • Why it’s okay to take a breather before your next wave of expansion

I’ve been doing some big, deep inner work lately, around safety, control and that old belief that being happy or successful might upset others. The whales reminded me that I don’t need to fix anything. I just need to witness, soften and let things rise in their own time.

    💫 I also chat about:

My brand new playbook Celebrating the Cycles of Life, a guide to help you navigate your own seasons with more flow, grace and ease. It’s all about bringing closure to one chapter before stepping into the next. You’ll find the link in the show notes.

If you’re feeling like you’re in your own version of that protective freeze or life just feels heavy or stuck right now, please know you’re not doing anything wrong. You’re in the sacred pause before your next expansion.

Let’s keep softening, trusting and allowing what’s ready to rise.

Even when it feels like nothing’s moving, something powerful is shifting deep within. You’ve got this gorgeous, keep trusting the process and keep being fabulous ✨

  • #29: Want a New Life? You've got to stop dragging the old one in!
    2025/11/03
Hey gorgeous! This week I’m diving into something that’s been really present for me: how to actually step into a new chapter of life without dragging the old one along for the ride. After a beautiful getaway up in Cairns with all the sun, salt and tropical vibes, I’ve been reflecting on how often we try to start fresh but end up bringing the same energy, patterns or stories with us. And honestly, I’ve done it plenty of times myself. In this episode, I share how I’ve learned to intentionally complete one phase before moving into the next. From burning old journals to saying goodbye to over 40 years in Canberra, it’s about honouring where you’ve been, releasing what’s ready to end and consciously calling in what’s next. We chat about:✨ The missing step most people skip when manifesting change✨ How to tell when a chapter’s complete and how to let it go gracefully✨ Rituals and reflections to create space for new beginnings✨ The power of conscious closure in life, love and everything in between✨ My Celebrating the Cycles of Life Playbook, a gentle guide for when you’re ready for your next evolution If you’re feeling a shift coming on, a change in season, energy or identity, this one’s for you. It’s a heart-to-heart about endings, beginnings and the magic that happens in between. 💛 I’d love to know what part landed for you. • #28: Who are You Anyway? (Because Apparently 'Fine' isn't a personality!)
    2025/10/20

    Hey gorgeous! 💛

In this episode, I dive into one of the biggest (and juiciest!) questions we’ll ever ask ourselves - Who am I, really? Because let’s be honest, “fine” isn’t a personality, and most of us have hidden behind that word more times than we’d like to admit.

I share some real-life reflections from my own world - from moving to a new coastal community, to navigating different roles as a wife, mum, and businesswoman, to rediscovering what truly lights me up. It’s been a season of growth, self-enquiry, and peeling back the layers to meet myself all over again.

    We chat about:
✨ Why “I’m fine” is often a mask for something deeper
✨ The many roles we play in life — and how our identity shifts with each one
✨ How to reconnect with who you are underneath the titles, labels, and expectations
✨ My personal process for discovering my one word (tune in to find out what it is)
✨ What it means to live from that place of freedom and authenticity
✨ How tools like Human Design and astrology can help you understand your true self
✨ The importance of showing up as you — not who the world tells you to be

This episode is an invitation to get curious about who you are when the masks come off - the you that exists beyond “fine.”

If you’re ready to rediscover your sparkle, tune in for this heartfelt chat. I also share details about my upcoming Queen of Your Life Activation and my half-day workshop, Who Are You Anyway? Because ‘Fine’ Isn’t a Personality, for women ready to ditch the act, dig deep, and reconnect with their fabulous selves.

💌 I’d love to know - when was the last time you asked yourself, Who am I, really? Come find me on socials @‌HappinessHive and let me know what comes up for you.

  • #27: Prevention is better than cure
    2025/10/06

    Hey gorgeous! 💛

In this episode, I dive into one of my favourite philosophies: prevention is better than cure — not just when it comes to health, but in every area of life.

I share a bit about my recent weeks (yep, the dance of life with all its ups and downs!), my fun morning at a Japanese Taiko drumming workshop, and a big personal breakthrough I had recently. From there, we explore what it really means to consciously create the life you want — before things break, before burnout hits, before you get to that rock-bottom moment that so many seem to glorify online.

    We chat about:
✨ Why prevention is a daily, intentional practice (and not about living a boring, restricted life)
✨ The importance of listening to your body and those little niggles before they become big problems
✨ My morning rituals and practices that keep me grounded, grateful, and aligned
✨ How to create boundaries and space in your life before you hit exhaustion
✨ Being discerning with what (and who) you let into your energy field
✨ Why health is the foundation for abundance and success — not the other way around

This episode is a gentle nudge to stop waiting for the crash to wake you up and instead choose conscious, vibrant, joyful living right now.

If you’re curious about energy resets, tune-ups, and practical ways to bring yourself back into balance, I also share details about my 90-minute energy reset sessions — available in person or online.

  • #25: The Queen of My Life Activation: What 33 Days of Devotion Shifted in Me
    2025/09/08
In this deeply personal and powerful episode, Catherine opens up about her recent 33-day disappearance from the public eye. She shares the journey of her Queen of My Life Activation—a sacred container of devotion, healing, and revival. Over the past 18 months, Catherine has faced grief, transition, and profound inner work. This episode captures the raw truth of what it meant to pause, recalibrate, and rise again—claiming sovereignty, freedom, and beauty in every part of life and business. ✨ What you’ll hear in this episode: Why Catherine stepped away from the public eye for 33 days The “seatbelt” metaphor and what it revealed about safety, control, and healing How grief, ancestral patterns, and old beliefs were released through rituals, journaling, and devotion The four stages of her Queen of My Life Activation: Week 1: The Crown Cleanse (release & recalibration) Week 2: The Inner Court (identity reclamation & soul alignment) Week 3: The Embodied Queendom (sacred strategy & business clarity) Week 4: The Royal Return (visibility, voice & revival) Powerful moments of ancestral healing, dreamwork, and signs from nature The role of music, rituals, and symbolism (like the Frida Kahlo jacket and golden heart talisman) in anchoring transformation How she now embodies freedom, bliss, and beauty as her soul’s devotion 💡 Catherine also shares how this personal process is evolving into a future program—an invitation for others to experience their own Queen of My Life Activation. 🌟 Key Takeaways Healing often requires intentional retreat and sacred devotion. Ancestral patterns can be released — and doing so liberates both past and future generations. Freedom is not just a concept; it’s a lived experience of safety, beauty, and authenticity. Business strategy is most powerful when it’s rooted in soul-aligned sovereignty. Here’s to you becoming the Queen of your own life and the designer of your own glorious destiny. 💖 Learn more:Website: https://www.happiness-hive.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/happinesshive/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/happinesshive1Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/catherine-bowyer-happiness-hive/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@happinesshive Happiness Hive Newsletter:https://www.happiness-hive.com/ Soul Whispers SessionIntuitively Guided Coaching SessionsSoul-Meet-Strategy Sessionshttps://www.happiness-hive.com/work-with-me
