Welcome to the award-winning Hill Country Podcast. The Texas Hill Country is one of the most beautiful places on earth. In this podcast, Hill Country resident Tom Fox speaks with the people and organizations that make this one of Texas’s most unique areas. In this award-winning podcast series, Tom Fox visits with Hannah Simmons, membership and volunteer coordinator at Arcadia Alive in Kerrville. Arcadia Live, now 100 years old, has expanded its 2026 programming and its member-supported nonprofit model. Simmons explains her responsibilities for supporting renewals and coordinating volunteers and outlines updated membership tiers starting with the $150 “Roadie” level, emphasizing presale ticket access and how memberships fund free community events such as monthly movies (first Wednesday), trivia, and bingo. She describes Arcadia as a 100-year-old (1926) community arts hub renovated in 2020, offering concerts and events with modern light and sound and a VIP “Centennial Club” space for higher tiers. They preview Rocky Horror with a shadow cast and Q4 events, including Martin Bernsten’s Christmas show, Blind Boys of Alabama (Dec. 19), Shiny Ribs (Nov. 20), and Bruce Robison (Nov. 13), and share Arcadia’s social and web channels.
