What happens when your teenage emo phase becomes a lifelong personality trait?
In the final episode of our month of Edinburgh Fringe specials, Alice Cruickshank is joined by Scotland's pop-punk comedian Hannah Morton for a nostalgic trip back to the millennial alternative scene.
Hannah and Alice revisit the world of "elder emo" culture, from Twilight and Paramore to the enduring influence of Hayley Williams.
They also take a look back at some of the era's most questionable style choices, from emo fashion to indie sleaze, including the divisive mullet dress. Along the way, they bond over their shared love of winged eyeliner and the commitment required to maintain seriously bright ginger hair.
Hannah also talks about her new Edinburgh Fringe show, Crushed, and life as a comedian in Scotland's comedy scene.
It's a conversation about nostalgia, personal style, music, and all the things from your teenage years that you thought you'd left behind but absolutely haven't.
